Create, market, communicate.
That’s what I do, and I love it — but this is who I am:
At the core, I’m a problem solver.
My favorite questions start with how and why.
I enjoy finding ways to monetize ideas. And reading — I’m a voracious reader. My two favorite advice columns, the Washington Post, Slate, and Forbes are daily destinations.
I live an active lifestyle.
I’ve been an athlete all my life. After a driver ran a red light and crashed into me, I feared my days of running and sports were over. After 2 months of physical therapy twice a week, I needed to know how much my body could take, so I trained for and finished the Mizuno Half Marathon in Amsterdam.
Over the past few years, I’ve taken surfing lessons in Panama (it’s hard!), trekked to the Big Buddha in Hong Kong, made new friends in Beijing, and learned how to make sushi in Tokyo.
The pandemic slowed me down quite a bit, but in 2021, I officially became a Spartan! My first Spartan Race was 25 obstacles over 4+ miles, and apparently my friend and I chose the hardest course. The first mile was straight up a mountain. (Straight up, like Paula Abdul. Straight up, as in literally a double black diamond ski hill.)
Spartan Race was not enjoyable! It was a test of mental and physical endurance. Did I want to quit at many points going up the mountain? YES. Did I question my life choices that had me carrying a 40-pound bucket full of rocks through part of the course shaped like a Spartan helmet? ABSOLUTELY. But I don’t quit when presented with a challenge—I find a way through it. I’m now training for my second half marathon, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Washington DC Half Marathon, taking place in March 2023.
…and I’m a PR/marketing/branding nerd.
During a 2-week trip through Asia, I documented how American brands position themselves in Asian markets — just for fun.
I’m fascinated by all things marketing strategy + branding and enjoy meeting like-minded people. I’m always looking for a new problem to solve, so if you have one, get in touch.
